Copy editing, rewriting, and proofreading services at reasonable, competitive rates

Services and fees: I edit all types of non-technical materials. I edit electronically in Microsoft Word or on hard copy. All materials remain confidential. Primary editing: $4 to $4.50 a page minimum. Secondary editing (second edit of the revised material): $2.50 a page if I’ve done the primary edit; does not apply to copy edited by someone else. Rewriting: $6 to $6.50 a page; $75 minimum Proofreading: $3 a page Writing press releases and promotional material: $15 a page; $75 minimum. If the project is to be done on hard copy, fees for copying and postage will be added. Sales tax will be charged for projects from South Dakota communities; the percentage will depend on the city in which the author lives. NOTE: All prices are based on double-spaced pages with one-inch margins on top, bottom, and both sides. Type is to be 12 point Times New Roman or a comparable font. One FREE five-page DOUBLE-SPACED sample edit per project with the exception of short stories, query letters, press releases. One half of all fees due upon receipt of manuscript or raw material; remainder due upon completion. Contracts outline deadlines, estimated costs, and other details.
